1、Operation
Conditions Rated voltage
DC(12-14)V Operation temperature for top tube
(350-800)℃ Operation temperature for hexagon
≤500℃ Operation temperature for insulating
sleeve ≤250℃ Storage temperature
(-40-100)℃ Lead oil is
forbidden 2、Installation of oxygen sensor with
connector Before installation, clean the thread
hole in the exhaust pipe with thread wimble, then
tighten the oxygen sensor with (45-60)Nm torque,
welding is forbidden. 3、Installation of
universal oxygen sensor
Example: Installing a universal
single wire oxygen sensor Note: the tip of the
new oxygen sensor may be slightly discolored due
to the final heat testing. 1. Disconnect the
old oxygen sensor electrical connector. 2.
Remove the old oxygen sensor from the vehicle.
Caution: The oxygen sensor is
located in the exhaust pipe, which reaches high
temperature that could result in burn, so make
sure taking proper precaution when remove the
sensor to prevent injury.
3. Cut the original
positive wire so that the total length when
spliced is the same or slightly longer than the
original oxygen sensor wire. 4. Strip 1/4” of
insulation from the end of the cut wire. 5.
Slip a piece of the heat shrink tube over the
wire. 6. Crimp the terminal to both
wires. 7. Slide the heat shrink tube over the
terminal. Heat the tube with a heat gun, match,
heat blower, or lighter, until it shrinks and
seals the terminal. 8. The new oxygen sensor
may have a rubber or plastic cap over the threaded
area, so remove the cap before installing the
oxygen sensor.
Note: The thread of the oxygen
sensor is coated with a special anti-seize
compound that allows for easy removal. Please do
not remove this coat, and also take care not
getting any of the anti-seize on the sensor's tip
or damage to the sensor may occur.
9. Installing the new oxygen sensor
into its location and tighten to the proper torque
listed in the service manual for your
vehicle. 10. Reconnect the oxygen sensor's
electrical connector. 11. Following the
procedures outlined in the service manual for your
vehicle, clear any codes that may have been
set.
Note: When installing two
wires, three wires and four wires universal oxygen
sensor, please pay attention to the polarity of
the wires. Signal vs. Signal, Ground vs. Ground,
Heating vs. Heating. The heating wires are
interchangeable.
